Mark Schlabach is a national college football columnist for ESPN.com and is a regular guest on television programs across the ESPN platform. Schlabach joined ESPN in July 2006. Schlabach was a staff writer for nine years with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, covering University of Georgia, the SEC, NFL and NASCAR. Schlabach then spent two years with the Washington Post where he covered college football, college basketball, and boxing. Schlabach’s work has been honored multiple times by the Associated Press Sports Editors.
Schlabach is the author of six books. His latest work was to collaborate with Coach Bobby Bowden on “Called to Coach: Reflections on Life, Faith, and Football.” Schlabach is a 1996 graduate of the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Heather, live with their three children in Madison, Georgia.
