Barbara Dooley has been married to Coach Vince Dooley for almost fifty years. Coach Dooley was the head coach at the University of Georgia where he led the Bulldogs for 25 years. The Bulldogs won the 1980 national championship. 

From the beginning of Coach Dooley’s head coaching career, Barbara set out to undeniably support her husband while forging your own success. She is a well-received author, much-beloved radio and television personality, non-profit volunteer, career woman (she is a REALTOR®), and a dynamic speaker. 

Barbara Dooley is known for her captivating Southern humor. A storyteller of unmatched proportions, she rivets a crowd with stories of her decades spent as a football coach’s wife. Her tales of mischief and mayhem always leave audiences rolling with laughter and begging for more.  

Barbara Dooley is a native of Birmingham and holds a B.S. and Master’s degree from Auburn University. The Dooley’s have four children: Deanna, Daniel, Denise, and Derek. Derek Dooley is the head football coach at the University of Tennessee. Barbara and Vince Dooley reside in Athens, Georgia.
