Jimbo Fisher became the head football coach at Florida State University on January 5, 2010 after serving for three seasons as the Seminole’s offensive coordinator. Coach Fisher led the Seminoles to a 10-4 record in his first season, an appearance in the ACC Championship game, and to a bowl victory over South Carolina. Fisher followed up the season by signing a recruiting class in February 2011 that was ranked #1 in the nation by ESPN.
Before joining the Florida State staff, Coach Fisher served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at LSU for seven years under coaches Nick Saban and Les Miles. Fisher previously served one year on the Cincinnati staff and was the quarterbacks coach at Auburn University for six years under Coach Terry Bowden. Before going to Auburn, he served as an assistant coach at Samford University under Terry Bowden for five years.
Coach Fisher is a native of Clarksburg, West Virginia and a graduate of Salem College. Coach Fisher and his wife, Candi, have two sons, Trey and Ethan.
