In July of 1997, the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association revived the state all-star games and brought to Montgomery a week filled with six sports: volleyball, softball, baseball, basketball, soccer, and football. The Quarterback Club was asked by the AHSAA to become involved in this event in support of the student athletes through advertising space in the All-Starr program, selling tickets, to the event, and entertaining the North and South squads during the week. This event was designated as a Club annual project until it moved to Huntsville in 2004.

Fund Raisers for the Foundation include an annual Golf Tournament held each April, as well as a club raffle held each August. These are addition times of fun and fellowship with proceeds going to a good cause of furthering the education of young athletics through scholarships.

In 1996, the Quarterback Club Foundation was established in order to receive charitable contributions. As a result of the support given to the Foundation, Funds are designated for scholarships to be awarded to local scholar-athletes who meet the criteria set-up by the Foundation Board. The Foundation plans to be increasingly successful in soliciting contributions and awarding scholarships on an annual basis.

And so, the Quarterback Club of Montgomery continues to provide its membership an outlet to enjoy social functions featuring good football-oriented speakers and to direct their efforts at community service to high school as well as college students and coaches. A commitment made back in 1940 by a small but focused group of people continues its proud tradition today of being the best it can be.
